Phil
Webb
Phil, the General Manager at Morey & Hurford, has some
35 years of commercial building experience, including starting
university in Architecture, before “seeing the light”
and completing a Building Construction Diploma.
Phil commenced his commercial building years in the CBD of
Melbourne as an engineers draftsman mainly involved in Favco
crane assemblies on numerous high rise buildings, before being
transferred to the role of site co-ordinator on a 36 storey
project, starting 6 floors underground. After working on several
sites across Melbourne, Phil experienced a major change of
scenery when he moved to the Northern Territory in 1985 to
run a $5 million secondary college.
After transferring back to Victoria and settling in Bendigo
in 1989, Phil then ran his own estimating / consulting firm
prior to joining Morey & Hurford to work on their only
Melbourne based project for Harvey Norman. Since teaming up
with Chris & Terry, Phil has been Project Manager / Contracts
Manager / Estimator on numerous successful projects over a
considerable period.
Away from work, Phil enjoys the opportunity to spend most
weekends with his wife, travelling away from Bendigo, and
seeing the sites of different parts of Victoria. His three
children “have flown the nest”, with one in Dublin
and two studying at university in Melbourne. |
